Privacy Policy
How we handle your data
Last updated: 23 July 2026. This policy explains what personal data XYZ Data Services collects through this website, why, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
This website is operated by the individual trading as XYZ Data Services, based in the United Kingdom. For any question about this policy or your data, contact or call .
What we collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us. Currently, that happens in one place: the enquiry form on our Contact page. When you submit it, we collect:
- Your name
- Your company name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if provided
- Whatever you write in the message field, including which service you're enquiring about
- Whether you opted in to receive marketing emails, if you ticked that box
We do not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking tools on this website. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How your enquiry is sent
Submitting the contact form opens your own email client with a message addressed to us — the data goes directly from you to our inbox by email, the same as if you'd written to us yourself. We don't store form submissions on a separate server or third-party platform.
Why we collect it
We use the information you submit to:
- Reply to your enquiry and discuss the services you're interested in
- Keep a record of our conversation with you, if you become a client
- Send you marketing emails about our services — but only if you explicitly opted in when submitting the form
The legal basis for replying to enquiries is legitimate interest — responding to someone who has directly contacted us. The legal basis for marketing emails is your explicit consent, given via the opt-in checkbox, which you can withdraw at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for 12 months from your last contact with us, after which it's deleted, unless you become a client — in which case relevant records are kept for as long as needed to deliver the engagement and meet our legal and accounting obligations. If you've opted in to marketing emails, we'll keep your details until you unsubscribe or we delete our mailing list, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time
- Object to how we're using your data
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we've mishandled your data
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at .
Fonts
This website's fonts are hosted directly on our own server rather than loaded from a third party, so no font-related data about your visit is shared externally.
Changes to this policy
If our services or data practices change — for example, if we start using analytics tools or expand internationally — we'll update this page and revise the date at the top.
